Cascade View Elementary School Snoqualmie Valley School District 2005 This new 59,000 square foot elementary school was built in the Snoqualmie Ridge Development; a mixed-use suburban neighborhood consisting of single family homes and a small shopping village. The design solution is a simple, single-story building organized in response to its educational program. Classrooms are split into three clusters organized around shared activity spaces. In turn, the clusters focus on a central library. Office space and kindergarten rooms bridge to an activities wing positioned for community use. The design solution is formally similar to the adjacent homes while materials, details, and colors recall the architecture of the shopping village.
