The Donald G. Topping Regional HOPE Center is the third in a series of HOPE Centers designed by TCF Architecture for The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound.

This facility, like the previous HOPE Centers in Lakewood and Gig Harbor, houses a Boys & Girls Club as well as a variety of community organizations, providing South Tacoma with a place that offers services to all ages of people.
The Boys & Girls Club organization partnered with Tacoma Public Schools and Metro Parks Tacoma to develop this facility in a campus-type setting, which includes Gray Middle School, the South Tacoma Community Center and South End Recreation Area (SERA) ball fields and other outdoor amenities for Metro Parks.

The center was constructed as an addition to two large, former high school gymnasiums.  The renovated gyms now provide a variety of sports and recreation space, along with classrooms for computers and technology, arts and crafts and performance arts, a central dining and games room, a commercial kitchen, administration space, a teen center and a learning center.

Lindquist Dental Clinic for Children partnered with the Boys & Girls Club, and operates a 6-chair clinic within the Center, providing comprehensive dental services to children of all ages, regardless of their families’ ability to pay.
