Improving Puget Sound Light Rail Maintenance Operations
Sited within a larger campus operated by the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit), the new 2-building Maintenance of Way (MOW) facility supports 35+ vehicles and 80+ personnel for the Track, Facilities and Power Departments of light rail operations. Program areas include administrative offices for the MOW and Police staff, fabrication areas, parts storage, training rooms, and locker rooms. The project, awarded through a competitive Design-Build process with FORMA Construction, attained LEED Silver certification.
