A creative techie, Donovan is inspired by film, literature and the visual arts, and enjoys skateboarding, playing with his kids and commuting to work on his electric bicycle.

Much like restoring a well-loved building, Els believes design is most powerful when it balances history, sustainability, and innovation. With a degree in Environmental Design from Montana State University’s School of Architecture, she brings a thoughtful approach that emphasizes adaptive reuse, restoration, and preservation as paths toward enduring architecture. Her love of skiing, camping, hiking, and backpacking keeps her closely connected to the natural environment and continually inspires her design work. A passionate reader, she also turns to books as a way to explore new ideas and perspectives. Honored with the Dean H. C. Rosé Design Award and Scholarship, Els continues to shape her craft with clarity, creativity, and impact.

With a passion for architecture as a response to people and place, Glenn focuses on understanding community needs to create inspiring spaces. He believes that architectural space actively shapes learning, and the in-between spaces are equally vital for enhancing the experience.
Outside of work, you’ll find Glenn enjoying island life, honing his skills as a budding drone pilot, or diving into hands-on projects as a wannabe maker. Always one step behind his son in sports, he cherishes the journey of growth and discovery alongside family.

Harika earned her Masters of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, proving her dedication to the field during this time by earning scholarships and participating in a variety of design competitions. She worked on several notable projects for a firm in Ohio before being drawn to TCF, in part by the process description for the Johns Prairie Operations Center. Harika is inspired by architecture’s meld of function, culture, creative ideas and practical content.

Known for his detail-oriented and straightforward demeanor, Harry has produced projects in Washington State, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, addressing challenges using a rational approach. And yet, he balances hard work with a good sense of humor (and good coffee), believing life’s too short not to laugh. Off the clock, he enjoys movies, Formula 1, cooking, and tackling home improvement projects—appreciating how this invites an element of adventure.

Holli is an interior design–focused architect, writer, and visual storyteller who finds inspiration in both timeworn structures and forward-looking design. She believes great spaces connect people through meaning, integrating history, context, and a touch of whimsy to create environments that engage and inspire. Her contributions to new schools to adaptive reuse projects reflect a commitment to crafting designs that honor the past while enriching the present experience for every user.
Holli finds clarity and momentum on the move—running through city streets and wooded trails, accompanied by podcasts that range from personal growth to sasquatch intrigue. These quiet, sunrise hours are where ideas begin to take shape, reflecting the same curiosity, reflection, and fortitude she brings to connecting concepts with communication.

James has been involved in the production of public buildings across the Pacific Northwest (and beyond) for more than 30 years. With special focus in daylight design and sustainability, he is driven to improve the longevity of built environments while designing buildings dedicated to people. Based on a fundamental belief that architecture is more than art, he encourages input from many perspectives to enhance a project’s function for end users.

J.R. brings more than two decades of experience delivering K–12 schools and support facilities through both Progressive Design-Build and traditional delivery methods. His portfolio of work spans building condition assessments, targeted remodels, and complex modernization efforts, including historic structures. Clients and colleagues value his curiosity, candor, and diligence. He approaches his work with the same level of dedication and commitment that he brings to his family, and his desire to learn new things. From exercise and home improvement to in-depth explorations of history, he brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to tackling project challenges.
J.R. employs proactive research and effective coordination with his steady “let’s get it done” attitude, to guide teams in navigating the interwoven complexities of schedule, budget, and existing conditions. As an OSPI Certified Building Condition Assessor and FEMA WA Safe Building Safety Evaluator, he brings added insight that helps districts plan, modernize, and safeguard environments to support students, educators, and their communities.

With a foundation in architecture and a master’s degree in education, Jamie Plater brings a uniquely blended perspective to her work at TCF. With five years of experience teaching in an elementary classroom, she offers a practical and empathetic understanding of the needs, challenges, and daily rhythms of K–12 environments. As an outdoor enthusiast, her design philosophy is rooted in connecting with nature and the grounding experience it provides through layers of shelter, moments of discovery, and sensory delight. It is this connection that drives her desire to create spaces that are healthy for both people and the planet.
Outside the office, she enjoys time with her husband and two boys, eating at farmers' markets, and playing Plants vs. Zombies.

From the coast of Southern Thailand to Eastern Washington and then the Puget Sound; Jannita has experienced diverse design and cultural environments. Her approach to architecture is informed by context, history, and adaptive thinking. Jannita explores new landscapes when outdoors, but when inside, enjoys puzzles, crafting, and all things sci-fi.

Jason brings a diverse background in fine art, carpentry, contracting, and architecture, which informs both his conceptual and hands-on approach to design and construction. With experience in new construction, tenant improvements, and building additions, he has worked closely with consultants, owners, and agencies on projects like robotics labs, IT & maintenance facilities, athletic, and general instructional spaces. Finding inspiration in the Pacific Northwest climate, Jason enjoys focusing on building exterior detailing, particularly water management, into every project for the purpose of both ecological considerations and designing durable buildings.
Outside of work, Jason is fueled by a DIY mentality—whether it’s building bicycles or boats, he’s driven by curiosity and the desire to understand how things work. His carpentry background informs his approach to technical building design, always questioning how systems and materials come together.
Jason is active in the local cycling community and also enjoys volunteering in his daughters’ activities, which includes robotics and roller derby.

Jeremy specializes in digital modeling, fabrication and virtual reality, having built his ‘street cred’ and architectural portfolio in working for Seattle and Tacoma firms.

Jeremy's work spans various scales and typologies, reflecting a deep passion for community-focused projects and the creation of timeless public spaces. An architect who revels in the details, he transforms materials and forms into functional art, driven by his fine art background that enhances both aesthetic and functional considerations. When he’s not shaping the built environment, you’ll find him sketching, painting, or cycling through scenic landscapes, all while exploring his interests in high-performance design, urbanism, and architectural history.

Detail-oriented and focused, Jessica is among TCF’s trusted advisors on the topic of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Along with home-canned produce, she brings to work her flair for structure, organization and fun.

Kristin appreciates a fusion of creative with logical. After attaining her bachelor’s degree in molecular & Cellular Biology, she followed her passion for design through pursuit of a Master of Architecture from UT Austin. Kristin contributes toward the development of public projects fueled by her interests in sustainability, community-oriented design, and music.

Kristy lived in England during high school, visiting 25 countries across 4 continents. Through her travels, she was impressed by how various climates and available resources informed building construction. Recognizing ready access to materials has reshaped modern construction, Kristy appreciates how craftsmanship puts a personal stamp upon handmade items.
