Helping Kitsap Transit provide reliable service
TCF, under Perteet Inc. as the civil engineer and prime consultant, designed the bus shelter, fuel and wash structures for the Kitsap Transit North Base and Park and Ride. Design for the bus shelter uses staggered concrete plinths as anchors for a delicate cantilevered canopy structure. The roof system allows diffused light to filter into the waiting area below while providing protection from inclement weather.
The fuel and wash buildings are utilitarian in form and function, using CMU and metal siding to provide durable, long lasting surfaces.
To punctuate all structures, an orange hue is used to unify the architecture and reinforce the recently refreshed branding of Kitsap Transit.
